Goiania: The last round of the TCR South America on Brazilian soil

Goiania: The last round of the TCR South America on Brazilian soil

Goiania (Brazil), May 31, 2022 – The TCR South America closes its passage through Brazil with the third race of the 2022 championship at the Ayrton Senna International Raceway in Goiania. Unlike Interlagos, this stage will return to the traditional two-race format over the weekend.

Once again, the TCR South America will have the participation of almost twenty vehicles from seven different brands. Among the drivers, the debut of the Brazilian Alceu Feldmann in the CUPRA of the W2 Pro GP and the debut as the starting driver of the Uruguayan Federick Balbi in a PMO Racing Peugeot 308 TCR stand out.

The category visits the Goiania racetrack for the first time, located just over 200 kilometers from Brasilia, characterized by a fast layout with twelve curves and an extension of 3,835 meters.

The schedule will be in three days. On Friday there will be a shakedown and free practice. Saturday will be a long day with the second practice, qualifying and the first race and on Sunday only the second and last competition of the weekend will be run.

The championship is led by Fabricio Pezzini’s #7 Lynk & Co with 152 points, followed by Raphael Reis’s #77 CUPRA with 141 and Manuel Sapag’s #33 Lynk & Co with 109.
