Tuesday, April 20, 2021 | Squadra Martino, the team led by Sebastián Martino, will put two Honda Civic Type R TCR on track in the inaugural season of TCR South America. This new Argentine project seeks to transcend borders to take part in the TCR South America, a Codasur category, with a concept with great relevance worldwide.
With the help of Sebastián Martino, the team based in the city of Villa Carlos Paz, province of Córdoba, in Argentina, will seek to become one of the contenders of the TCR South America, together with Honda.
With two cars that are already in Argentina and that next week will arrive at the team’s headquarters, in the same facilities of the Puma Energy Honda Racing Super TC2000, a new challenge will begin for this structure that already has enough experience in national and international motorsports competitions.
Sebastián Martino, General Director of Squadra Martino said: “The truth is that this new project puts us back on the international scene and within a championship that will surely be very competitive as the TCR is used to doing worldwide. For this structure it will be a huge challenge to put two Honda Civic Type R TCR. We have everything to fight from the beginning for important things”.
Federico Punteri, Director of TCR South America said: “We are very happy with the incorporation of the Squadra Martino to TCR South America. It is a team with a great trajectory in Argentina and throughout the region. With these two new Honda Civic Type R the grid for our inaugural season is enlarged.”
In the next few days, the two drivers who will be driving the two Honda Civic Type R TCRs will be defined. Here is the information regarding Squadra Martino:
