Buenos Aires (Argentina), July 20, 2022 – The second year of the TCR South America has reached the middle of the season that will have eight dates. After the three races in Brazil and the first in Uruguay, the championship is increasingly contested for the top places and new contenders appear in the fight for the drivers’ crown.

For the Trophy Cup, the winners were Antonio Junquiera, in his only participation in the category, and the defending champion Adalberto Baptista.

The next step was the international route of Interlagos with the first competition in Endrurance format. There, the duo of Pezzini and Javier Merlo, stepped strong and took 78 points, counting the first step of the podium and the units added in the classification. The podium that day was completed by the Brazilians Pedro Aizza and Rodrigo Sperafico and the Argentines Juan Ángel Rosso and Ricardo Rissatti. On the Trophy side, Marcio Basso, in his debut at PMO Racing’s Lynk & Co, achieved the “1” in the first race and the local, Renato Braga, climbed to the first step of the podium in the second.

The first step through Uruguayan lands the category visited the difficult Rivera circuit with unfavorable weather conditions. Simulating Feldmann in Goiania, Rosso also left nothing for his rivals and won both races.
